About

The Hydro Tutorials is an outcome of my experience with flood modelling in the Brahmaputra Valley. I wrote this as a help for Researchers and professionals engaged in any form of flood modelling. For newbies engaging in any form of modelling involves lot of uncertainties and doubts, specially finding the right training materials for the project, dealing with errors and selecting the perfect parameter sets.

I would try to help students in the following software packages as well as providing simple software tricks from time to time:

  • HEC-RAS & HEC-GeoRAS
  • MIKE Flood (MIKE 21, MIKE 11 and Coupling using Mike Flood)
  • HEC-HMS & HEC-GeoHMS
  • GIS Softs-ArcGIS, QGIS, etc

The important links section is particularly handy as I have tried to include 90% of the major websites in the R&D field including Software sites, Data Repositories, Govt. Websites, Helpful blogs, etc. in one place.
